Software - HTTPShield - FAQ
1. What is HTTPShield?
HTTPShield is a powerful tool to fight the unwelcome Internet ads (banners, pop-ups etc) and commercials, and generally make your Web surfing more pleasant.

2. Is it possible to use HTTPShield from other computers?
No. HTTPShield designed for use on a single computer. Due to security reasons, currently it responds only to requests originated from the local computer. However, such option may be added in the future.

3. How does it work?
HTTPShield works as a proxy-server between your Internet service provider (ISP) and your Internet browser. So it reviews all internet requests and all responses, and removes advertisements. Such an approach allows not to depend on the type of browser. You just need to set your browser to use HTTPShield as a proxy. For Internet Explorer, HTTPShield can make such settings automatically.

4. Is it hard to install HTTPShield?
There is nothing complicated in HTTPShield settings. Actually, all you need to do is to make your browser to use proxy server at address 127.0.0.1 and port number 53535. (You can change this default port number in Options dialog). Also you have to set your current proxy server in HTTPShield settings (if any).

5. Will HTTPShield support a particular language?
